Who are the Naperville Jaycees?
The Naperville Jaycees are a group of young persons dedicated to personal development through community service. From Holiday Food Drives to their annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Naperville Jaycees help the community by volunteering time, fundraising, and helping others…and they have fun doing it!

What is the Naperville Jaycees Last Fling event?
The Last Fling is the largest annual fundraiser hosted by the Naperville Jaycees which lasts all four days of Labor Day Weekend. The group organizes and staffs the Last Fling in close cooperation with the City of Naperville, the Naperville Park District, numerous Naperville community organizations and tons of volunteers.

Where do the profits of the event go?
Proceeds from the Last Fling are given to nonprofit organizations in and around the Naperville area. To learn more about the groups which receive funding, check out the Donations section of the Naperville Jaycees’ website.

When does the event take place?
Friday, August 29 from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday, August 30 from 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Sunday, August 31 from 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Monday, September 1 from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Is there a parking fee?
The Naperville Jaycees do not charge for parking, but please note there may be other organizations/groups near the festival event that do charge a nominal fee.

Where do I drop off and pick up someone?
From the North, we suggest drop/pickup off near the Nichol’s Library. Approaching from the South, we suggest near the corner of Aurora Avenue and Eagle Streets.

Can I bring my own outside food and beverages?
No outside beverages or food items are permitted. There will be various food vendors and beverage tents located throughout the festival grounds. Any outside beverage or food items will be confiscated and disposed of.

Can I bring my dog/pets?
For safety reasons, pets are not allowed at the Last Fling. Designated Service Animals will always be permitted.

Can I provide an out of state license to show proof of age?
Yes, as long as a date of birth (DOB) is on the license, however, you may be asked to show additional proof of ID.

What additional rules are there at the Last Fling?
For your safety, a CLEAR BAG POLICY IS IN EFFECT; everything and everyone is subject to search upon entry.

Crowd surfing, throwing of items, moshing and fighting are not allowed. Patrons suspected to be involved in these or other riotous activities will be removed from the event immediately and denied re-entry. If the Last Fling Carnival or specific ride(s) therein is closed for unruly behavior, refunds will not be provided.

Where is the lost and found?
During the 4 days of Last Fling weekend, the lost and found will be located inside the Rubin Center at the North West corner of Jackson Avenue and Eagle Street. Following the event weekend, items will be brought to the Naperville Park District Building on Jackson Ave.

Where do I check in?
Volunteer check-in is located in the Rubin Center at the North West corner of Jackson Avenue and Eagle Street. Please enter from the second floor entrance found using the parking lot off of Eagle Street. Please DO NOT enter off of Jackson Avenue.

If I do not receive Volunteer confirmation by August 25th, who should I talk to?
If you are volunteering with a group of people, please contact your group coordinator or someone else you are volunteering with. If no one has received confirmation by August 25th, please contact the Last Fling administrator.

Is there a deadline?
Yes, please sign up to volunteer by August 22, 2025. Volunteer shifts are filled on a first-come first-serve basis. Waiting until late August will likely result in all volunteer shifts being filled. We will accept late sign ups, but do your best to sign up before the deadline.

How many stages are there and where are they located on your grounds?
We will be offering one musical act stage at the Last Fling event this year. The Jackson Avenue Stage will be located on Jackson Avenue in the Riverwalk Parking Lot. There will also be an acoustic performance area in the Beer Garden (across the street from the Jackson Avenue Stage).

Is there an entry fee to get into the event?
There is NO FEE to enter the event this year. Please note, the event will be surrounded by fencing with gated entrances to ensure the safety of all event-goers.

What about a camera or recording device?
Unless otherwise posted, cameras and recording devices are acceptable. Flash photography is not allowed due to contractual agreements with the entertainment.

Can I bring in lawn chairs and/or blankets?
A designated seating area for chairs is located within the Beer Garden on the north side of the street, across the street from the Jackson Avenue Stage. Blankets are not permitted. Folding bag chairs are subject to search.

Where is the carnival located?
The carnival will be on Jackson Avenue, between Eagle and Ewing Streets. Crowd surfing, throwing of items, moshing and fighting are not allowed and patrons suspected to be involved in such activities will be removed from the event immediately and will have event wristbands removed to prevent re-entry. If the Last Fling Carnival or specific ride(s) therein is closed for unruly behavior, NO REFUNDS will be provided.

Sunday, August 31 from 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM is Special Needs Day)

Do you take credit cards for carnival tickets?
Throughout the weekend of the event, ATMs are available within the Carnival area.

What and when is Special Needs Day at the Carnival?
Special Needs Day at the Last Fling Carnival is Sunday, August 31 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. During this time, patrons with special needs, and their families have exclusive access to rides within the carnival. Wristbands for persons with special needs and (1) companion can be picked up at the Carnival Ticketing Booth near the corner of Jackson Ave and Eagle St starting at 9:30 AM the day of the event.

What day is the parade and where is it located?
The 2025 Labor Day Parade is on Monday, September 1st at 10 a.m. The parade starts near Naperville North High School and ends near Naperville Central High School. The specific parade route for this year is TBD. Stay tuned!

Is there an entry fee to participate in the parade?
Yes. A Parade Entry Form must be completed and payment made prior to the dates noted on the parade application. Stay tuned to the Parade page for more details.

Where do I drop off a participant?
Parade units will line up on Mill Street at 5th Avenue, near Naperville North High School.

Will there be any transportation provided from the end of the parade back to the beginning of the parade?
No. Parade participants are required to coordinate transportation back to the start of the parade.
