Who are the Naperville Jaycees?
The Naperville Jaycees is a nonprofit service organization with over 200 young persons dedicated to personal development through community service. From Holiday Food Baskets to our annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Naperville Jaycees help the community by volunteering time, fundraising, and helping others...and we have fun doing it!
What is the Naperville Jaycees Last Fling event?
The Last Fling event is the biggest fundraiser event that the Naperville Jaycees run which is a premier event in Naperville that lasts four days over Labor Day Weekend. The group organizes and staffs the Last Fling in close cooperation with the City of Naperville, the Naperville Park District, numerous Naperville community organizations and tons of volunteers.
Where do the profits of the event go?
Proceeds from the Last Fling are given to nonprofit organizations in the community and throughout the Naperville area. To learn more about the groups that we make donations to, check out the Donations.
When does the event take place?
Friday, September 3rd, 5 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Saturday, September 4th, 10 a.m. - 11 p.m.
Sunday, September 5th, 10 a.m. - 11 p.m.
Monday, September 6th, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Is there a parking fee?
The Naperville Jaycees DO NOT charge for parking, but please note that there are other organizations/groups near the festival event that do charge a nominal fee that are not associated with the Naperville Jaycees.
Is there handicap parking, if so, where?

Is there designated Motorcycle parking?
No.
Where do I drop off and pick up someone?
If you are going to Family Fun Land or Rotary Hill the best thing to do is to drop/pickup people off on Webster St., just south of Aurora Ave. If you are going to the Carnival or the Entertainment Stage the best thing to do is to drop/pickup people off on Webster St. or Eagle St., south of Jefferson St., near the Nichol’s Library.
Can I bring my own outside food and beverages?
For the safety of all, no outside beverages or food items are allowed. There will be various food vendors and beverage tents located throughout the festival grounds.
Can I bring my dog/pets?
For safety reasons - No
Can I provide an out of state license to show proof of age?
Yes, as long as the date of birth (DOB) is on the license, however, you may be asked to show additional proof of ID.
Where are the beverages and food located by the main stage?
There will be two beverage tents located at the Rotary Hill. One at the top (south end) of the hill (on the left side when you enter the main hill), the second is on the same side of the hill as the entrance (east side) but is on the right side when you enter the main hill, closer to the stage). Food can be found next to both beverage tents.
Where is the lost and found?
The lost and found is located at the volunteer trailer on the SE corner of Eagle St. and Jackson St. All items found during the event will be brought to this location for pick up. After the event weekend, items will be brought to the Naperville Municipal Building.

Where do I check in?
To the volunteer trailer, located on the SE corner of Eagle St. and Jackson St. - where it has been the past several years.
If I did not receive confirmation by Sept. 1 who should I talk to?
If you are volunteering with a group of people please contact your group coordinator or someone else you are volunteering with. If no one has received confirmation by Sept. 1 please contact the Last Fling by clicking here.
Is there a deadline?
Yes, you must sign up by August 28, 2009. Volunteer shifts are filled on a first come first served basis. Waiting until late August will likely result in all volunteer shifts filled.
Entertainment
How many stages are there and where are they located on your grounds?
We offer two entertainment band locations at the Last Fling event. Main Stage entertainment will be located at Rotary Hill (off of Aurora Ave., just north of Naperville Central High School) and all other band entertainment will be held at the Entertainment Stage located on Jackson Street.
What bands are playing and where?
As bands are secured for the Last Fling Event, information will be posted on our website including Press Releases. Click here to get the latest band information update.
Is there an entry fee to get into the event?
No, not for the event itself, however there are fees for food, beverages, carnival rides, & Main Stage Acts on Rotary Hill.
What about a camera or recoding device?
Cameras and recording devices are acceptable throughout the entire event, with the exception to Rotary Hill. Depending on the band cameras maybe OK, however, no recording devices shall be allowed.
Can I bring in Lawn Chairs and or blankets?
It is preferred that you use blankets (no bigger than 10x10 area), but we do allow lawn chairs.
Is there assigned seating at concert shows?
No, it is first come first served.

How much are tickets?
Friday night tickets for the Main Stage (on Rotary Hill) are TBA

Monday is FREE
*NOTE: Tickets for children 11 and under are free, however, they need a ticket to enter the Main Stage area and they need to be accompanied by an adult. These tickets must be picked up at the ticket booths the day of the event.
Are there any deadlines to purchase tickets?
No, but there are a limited number of tickets available, and they may sell out. Your best bet is to purchase them early to guarantee your admission.
Can I purchase tickets online?

Will there be any cutoff's for online purchases?
Yes, at 11:59 p.m. the night prior to the show you are purchasing for.
If I purchase tickets online or at store locations early, will I be guaranteed to enter with that ticket at the gate?
Yes
Will tickets be delivered?
If purchased early enough, they can be mailed to you. As the festival approaches, your name will be put on the Will Call list, and you will need to show the credit card used to purchase the tickets.
Are refunds available?
No refunds are available for any reason. Concerts are held rain or shine.
Where is Will Call and what time does it open?
The Will Call Booth is located at the top of Rotary Hill in the ticket booth and will open one hour before start of the first show.
Are any discounts offered when buying tickets early?
No.
Can I reserve tickets at the store locations?
Once we begin selling tickets at local businesses, you may purchase them at that time. Tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis at the store locations - no reservations will be accepted.
Can I use a credit card to purchase tickets at the store locations?
No. Credit cards will not be accepted at store locations, but you can purchase with cash or a check. When purchasing your tickets by a check, please have checks made out to the Naperville Jaycees and put your phone number and drivers license in the memo section of your check.
Carnival
Where is the carnival located?
The carnival will be on Jackson St., between Eagle St. and Ewing St.
What are the carnival hours?
Friday, September 3rd, 5 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Saturday, September 4th, 10 a.m. - 11 p.m.

How much are the carnival ride tickets?
The carnival rides tickets are $1 per ticket.
Do you take credit cards for carnival tickets or passes?
Only if you purchase the “mega” pass online. During the weekend of the event the carnival ticket booths will only take cash or debit cards.
Family Fun Land
Is there an entry fee?
No.
What are the days and times for Family Fun Land?
Family Fun Land is open on Saturday and Sunday of the event from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be some activities starting at 9:15 a.m. on each day, but the official starting opening time is 10:00 a.m.

Will there be food and beverages available? Where?
Yes, the Jaycees will be selling brats, hot dogs, chips and beverages (soda, energy drink and water). There will be other food vendors on the Family Fun Land grounds as well. Food vendors will be east of the Martin Mitchell Mansion.
Special Events
How do I register for a special event?
You will be able to sign up online starting in mid-July and depending on the event you may be able to sign up before the event, if there is still room available. Fling Mile
Can I register the day of?
Yes, you can register up to an hour before the event. You may not receive a Fling Mile t-shirts, as there are only so many extra ones printed.
What time does it start?
The Fling Mile starts at 9:30 a.m. sharp. Because the route is the same as the parade it is recommended that you plan accordingly as it could be difficult to navigate the area roads due to the road closers. Parade
What day is the parade and where is it located?
The parade is on Monday (Sept. 7, 2009) at 10:00 a.m. The parade starts at 5th Ave. and Mill St. (near Naperville North High School) and works its way south to Jefferson St. Then goes east on Jefferson St. to Main St. The parade then heads south on Main St. (crosses the river), to Porter St. then goes west to Webster St. then south on Webster St. to Hillside where the parade ends.
Is there a entry fee to participate in the parade?
Yes, it depends what kind of an organization you are as to how much you pay and when you pay. Please see the parade entry form for more details.
How do I register to be in the parade?
You must fill in the parade entry form and send it in, along with a check or money order by the dates noted on the parade application form. Please see the parade entry form for more details.
Is there a deadline?
Yes, the deadline depends on if there is room available in the parade, however, if there is room, the last possible date would be Aug. 28, 2009. NOTE: depending on when you get your application in will determine how much you pay. The sooner you get the application in the less expensive it is for a parade entry.
When will confirmations be sent out?
The confirmations will be sent out in late August via mail/e-mail. If you have not received your confirmation by Sept. 1 please contact the Last Fling.
Where is the drop off location?
Depending on which unit in the parade you will be will determine your start point. However, parade units will be lining up on 5th Ave., Mill St. and in the Naperville North High School parking lots.
Will there be any transportation provided from the end of the parade back to the beginning of the parade?
No, parade participants are required to figure out their own means of transportation back to the start of the parade if they have to. Many parade participants will be dropped off near the start of the parade and then picked up after. Some parade participants will drop off vehicles near the end of the parade route before the parade and then car pool to the start of the parade and leave a vehicle in the Naperville North High School parking lots, once the parade is completed they take whoever left a vehicle at Naperville North High School back there to pick up their vehicles. One other option is to park the vehicles at the start or finish of the parade and then walk to the start of the parade or walk back to Naperville North High School after the parade.

How can I become a food vendor?
Fill in the food vendor application form, send it in and you will be contacted by the Last Fling food vendor chair.
Is there a deadline?
